Early in my writing career I promised my mother and my daughter that I would not publish anything that would offend them. That promise evolved into a much larger mission to make my family proud of my work and to glorify God with my stories. If not for my mother, who questioned what I was writing and held me accountable for the impact of my words, I'm not sure I'd be at this point in my career today.
Wilma Ruth Holliday was our devoted mother, constant teacher, steadfast friend and daily reminder of the power and love of Christ. She entered into the Kingdom of Heaven on September 18, 2003. It is with great joy and admiration that I dedicate this website to her memory.
Abraham Lincoln once said, "All that I am or hope to be I owe to my angel mother. I remember my mother's prayers and they have always followed me. They have clung to me all my life."
I owe so much of who I am to my mother's influence and can only hope her prayers cling to me all my life.
We miss you, Mama.
